Which Dance Styles Can I Choose from?

Well learning to dance, means that you can choose anything that you are passionate about. Hip hop is fun and gets you moving and grooving. Aside from being an excellent cardio workout, you will use muscles you didn’t even know you had, as you learn how to move your hips, do pops and locks, rib isolations and more.

What Do I Need to Bring?

Learning to dance means that you will need the correct equipment and gear, starting with a comfortable, easy to move in outfit. Ballet usually requires tights and a leotard, but you can go for leggings and a tight vest or leotard underneath.

If you are not too comfortable bearing your body so much, you can wear a fitted top and stretchy pants of some kind, as long as they don’t get in your way or hinder your movement in any way. Other than this, you should tie your hair up and keep bangs and wispy bits away from your face with a head band or clips.

Also, bring a towel, because you will definitely sweat. Another important thing to get are proper shoes. You will need to get shoes based on the type of dancing you want to do.

For instance ballet pumps, tap shoes, jazz shoes, lightweight sneakers, or you can start without shoes for some of the dance classes.
